Xmas Baby is HERE!!!

HAPPY RELEASE DAY!!!

Do you hear that?  It’s disco music, provided by The Dungeon‘s very own DJ Jazzy Mistress Heidi in celebration of INHERITING HIS SECRET CHRISTMAS BABY‘s official release!

That’s right…  Today is the day!  If you haven’t bought your copy of my brand new Silhouette Desire yet, get thee to a bookstore or Wal-Mart ASAP!  Or get your fingertips dancing across that keyboard & visit an online retailer right now!

Here, I’ll do half the work for you.  Just click on the link of your choice below:

Amazon.com :: Amazon.com Kindle e-book

Barnes & Noble.com :: BN.com NOOK ebook

There.  I really do hope you’ll run out & pick up your copy of XMAS BABY, if you haven’t already.  And then please let me know what you think.  Jot down a few questions that come to mind while you’re reading & I’ll try to do a Q&A soon to answer them for you.

Now that that’s out of the way, let’s have some fun, shall we?

First, the Release Day playlist:

“Celebration” — Kool & the Gang

“Love Child” — Diana Ross & the Supremes

“Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home)” — U2

“I Wish Every Day Could Be Like Christmas” — Bon Jovi

“I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm” — Dean Martin

“Santa Baby” — Eartha Kitt

“Santa Looked a Lot Like Daddy” — Garth Brooks

“All I Want for Christmas Is You” — Mariah Carey

“What Child is This” — Carrie Underwood

“Secret Baby” — Silverman

“Baby’s Got a Secret” — The Love Dogs

Second, a lightning round of quick, fun questions for you to answer:

What do you think your favorite part of the story will be:  the inheritance, the Christmas, or the secret baby?

Is it just me, or does the guy on the cover have a Stephen Baldwin thing going on? (Before he was Born Again & almost had a shot at hotness, that is.)

The baby’s butt:  Is he wearing a diaper—yes or no?

Pretend you’re in charge of the Desire line.  Which do you like better—the book’s current title, INHERITING HIS SECRET CHRISTMAS BABY or the title that was on the manuscript when I turned it in, THE MILLIONAIRE’S SECRET CHRISTMAS BABY?

Are you glad I’m back to writing for Silhouette Desire, or would you rather I focused on all vampires all the time? (Ha ha ha ha! If you only knew what was on my To Do pile, you’d know vampires don’t even begin to scratch the surface.)

So in case you haven’t picked up on it yet…

LET THE PARTY BEGIN! :dancing

    Congratulations! Wooohoo!

Dancing santa is super cute. lol

I don’t know what my favorite part of the story will be, I think it’s the whole story put together that I like in a book.

He does have sorta a Stephen baldwin thing going on doesn’t he…

That baby is definitely not wearing a diaper.

I actually like the original title.

I love Vampires…love, love them. But I will read anything you write..lol

  2. Pamela Cayne says:

    Wa-ha-ha-HOOT!!!!! :biggestgrin

Christmas is coming early for me–can’t wait to get my hot little hands on this baby! (I love love love how Heidi writes a Desire!!!) Now that I’m done editing and have time and a brain, I get to play, and that means curling up with this fabulous book!!!

And yeah, I would have gone with THE MILLIONAIRE’S SECRET CHRISTMAS BABY, but once again, they didn’t ask me! :angeldevil

I’m going with secret baby. I know Heidi would tell that story correctly.

Is it just me, or does the guy on the cover have a Stephen Baldwin thing going on? (Before he was Born Again & almost had a shot at hotness, that is.)

I’m still thinking actor Jacob Young.

The baby’s butt: Is he wearing a diaper—yes or no?

I’m seeing butt crease through the jumper so no. Babies should NOT go commando.

I like the Millionaire one. He didn’t exactly inherit a baby…he knew nothing about it.

Are you glad I’m back to writing for Silhouette Desire, or would you rather I focused on all vampires all the time? (Ha ha ha ha! If you only knew what was on my To Do pile, you’d know vampires don’t even begin to scratch the surface.)

I’ll read anything you want to write about.

  4. Jane says:

Happy Release Day, Heidi. I don’t think the baby is wearing a diaper. You can see his butt checks too clearly for him to be wearing a diaper.

  5. Sara says:

I’m definitely thinking the Christmas. There’s something about the season that fits romance so well.

I can kinda see the Stephen Baldwin thing.

The baby is wearing a diaper, but someone has inexplicably tried to photoshop it out. Probably because diapers aren’t very pretty.

I’m kinda partial to the original title of the manuscript, though both work for me.

    Fun times!

  6. Heidi says:

Loving the answers you guys are giving! It’s so fun to have readers with such a great sense of humor. I hope you’re all dancing your buns off, too! :dancing

On the title, if you’ll notice, all the Jarrods books have “-ing” words to start. Claiming…Expecting…Inheriting… Thus the change. But at least they kept most of my wording & the themes behind it. :thumbsup

  7. Heidi says:

Okay, I’m a dolt. Just realized that the original working title of XMAS BABY was “The Millionaire’s Surprise Christmas Baby” not “Secret Christmas Baby.” I actually like both versions, but when I was trying to show the difference between what I’d called it & what it got changed to, it woulda been nice if I’d gotten my own title right. :beerlaugh

  8. Susie says:

It seems I picked a good day to look you up. Congratulations on the new release. I will be checking that out soon. I’m not big on check on blogs, so I think I will look around to see if you have a newsletter.

    • Heidi says:

Hey, Susie—welcome! You certainly did pick a good day to find me. :biggestgrin

And, yes, I also have a newsletter. Probably best to sign up in the left sidebar for now (there are two spots—one that says “sign up for my newsletter” & another form just below the “Bloody Good Holiday Giveaway” info, but they’re both for the newsletter mailing list) because the actual Newsletter page is acting funky all of a sudden. Possibly because I just send a new release announcement out this morning, but hopefully it will be fixed soon.

  9. Donna A says:

    Happy Release Day, Heidi.

That baby is definitely not wearing a diaper.

  10. Paula R. says:

Congrats, Mistress Heidi. I think I might have bought this one a couple of times. You know, I am going to need all of them right? Where can I get the ones before this one?

How have you been? I feel like it’s been forever since I was in the Dungeon. Sorry about that.

    Peace and love,
    Paula R.

    • Heidi says:

It has been a while, Paula…where have you been? :question

Don’t worry about reading the whole series if you only have XMAS BABY. You can find the others just about anywhere of course—bookstore (special ordering if they’re not on the shelf), Amazon, BN.com, etc.—but Trevor & Haylie’s story really does stand alone. No loose threads or things that are going to make you say huh? :biggrin

  11. Hollie says:

    Happy Release Day!!! :dancing :dancing

  12. Robin Covington says:

Heidi: Super congrats! Can’t wait to read it!

  13. Laura J. says:

I’m kind of late to the party…but shopping was fun (especially when you find a really neat outlet store that actually has really good prices!!) and then I go to pick up the B’girl and I’m met by her and the school nurse who tells me that she has a sore throat and headache, but no temperature and apparently strep is going around and that is the symptoms of this particular strain of strep. So we go to the doctor and yep–it’s strep. She hardly ever gets this sick and I can tell she’s really sick since since pretty much slept through :sick .

    But…..on to better things!!

That baby is commando for sure. I like the original, original name, he does kind of look like Stephen (although for my reading pleasure he looked like Bradley Cooper) and for the final question—BOTH!!!!!!

I can honestly say that the book ROCKED!!! and was a fantastic end to the series. (I think I said that before, but it bears repeating.) :thumbsup :whistle :notworthy :brava

    • Heidi says:

Aww, poor B-girl. Sorry to hear she’s sick. Put her on the couch in front of some zombie movies & I’m sure she’ll feel better soon! :Bigthumbs

Thanks so much for the lovely compliment. I’m so glad you liked XMAS BABY! This was such a fun story & having it be my first new Desire in a while is just icing on the cake. :happyjoy

  14. susan leech says:

:question I was out of things for awhile and just getting back to the real world..I lost a brother and a dear friend the same week just three days apart from each other. I sure need to get back and do some reading of cheerful and romance books to get my mind reforcus on the happy things. Your new release sure sounds good. The baby may not be wearing a diaper but I know he is a super good baby and will not make any messes. Merry Christmas. susan Leech, garysue@dejazzd.com
