Word of the Week: hockey hickey — a bruise or welt appearing on a hockey player’s body due to a puck impact, which looks like a hickey.

Not only did KNOCK ME FOR A LOOP hit the shelves yesterday, but I finally drew names for the “It Pays to Be a Heidi Betts Fan” Giveaway from last month.
The prizes are two $25 gift cards to JoAnn Fabric—one to a brand new member of the HeidiBetts’sHappyBookers Yahoo Group & one to a new member of the Fans of Heidi Betts Facebook Page.
So here we go…
For the newest members of the Happy Bookers loop…
Michele (Michelearmc)!!!
And for the newest members for the Fans of Heidi Betts Facebook Page…
Stacy Smith!!!
Congratulations, ladies! Please contact me with your mailing information & I’ll get your prizes out to you.
And thank you to everyone who joined the two groups in a show of support for my books. It means a lot to me, & I hope that in the coming months I can give you lots of reasons to be glad you’re members.

Woohoo! Got my copy of Knock! Very excited to read it!
Zack…you and I have a date. You know, I don’t normally do blonds…but for you I might make an exception!
Maisey, I am sooooo jealous!!! I hope to get it some time this week or on the weekend.
Congrats to the winners!
Peace and love,
Paula R.
Way to go ladies!
I am with you there Paula. I am trying my darndest to be patient until the weekend. But I keep thinking of how I can get money beforehand. I have exhausted my couch cushion search. I think prostitution is out lol. Most men don’t fantasize about plus size women with anger issues. My husband seems to be the exception. And I am reading other books to try and keep my mind off Knock Me. AHHHH…it isn’t working! LMAO.
*SPRAY ALERT WARNING. Do not eat or drink while reading this book. Use caution at page 21. (okay use caution the whole book. Probably not a good idea to read alone in a crowded restaurant either, especially if you prone to burst of loud laughter and snorting while laughing.*
Seriously Heidi. You need to include a warning like this of some kind on your books.
Congrats to the winners. Did not get out for my copy yesterday, daughter had serious back issues, had to be super mom, stay the night with her, take care of grandkitties and take her to the chiropractor, bad day all around so hopefully today will treck out at lunch time even though its snowing and blowing up a storm here. Yikes too bad Phil saw his shadow…..
Congrats to the winners. I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s party.
I live in the South; it was overcast and General Lee didn’t see his shadow.
Good News!!!! I have found Knock at Wal-Mart (as well as Barnes & Noble)
CONGRATS WINNERS!!!!
Hey, guys! I am having some technical difficulties this week, so my visitations may be sporadic, but I’m so glad you’re all having fun with KNOCK. Shopping for it, reading it, talking it up… Who knew being a Street Walker could be so fun, huh?
Also, please mark your calendars for tomorrow… Right here in The Dungeon, we’re going to be picking up where the AuthorIsland Cyber Launch Party left off—namely, I’LL ACTUALLY BE THERE! I’ll be replying to some questions that were left & we’ll be doing the whole eat, drink, be merry, dance with half-naked hunks, & give away a free book thing. (Sadly, I Mistress Heidi won’t let me give away a half-naked hunk.
)
Keep the book-spotting pics & reports coming. Tho my bet is that Laura will have KNOCK finished before anyone else, if she hasn’t already. She is our speed-reader extraordinaire.
I
Zack!!!
Laura, I am so glad you found it at Walmart. I was haunting two different ones, Target, Sears Essentials, Stop & Shop and Pricechopper supermarkets, pharmacies to see if I could get my hands on it. Now, I know that Walmart has it, I can pick it up tomorrow. Yippee!!!
Peace and love,
Paula R.
Heidi, thank you so much for putting Eric up as one of the Hunks…I mean…the man is SMEXY!!!! And that cute little smile, I can see a hint of a dimple. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Peace and love,
Paula R.
Paula~ Be forewarned that not *all* Wal-Marts might have KNOCK. I’ve run into that before…it will show up in a handful here, but not there. Sometimes they aren’t even in my Wal-Marts & I sign books when I find them there.
But my fingers are crossed that you *will* find a copy there.
And Eric won fair & scare—by at least half the votes, anyway.
Laura~ Glad you’re
Zack. Me, too, but I’m kinda biased.
Forgot to mention, btw, that in response to this “Seriously Heidi. You need to include a warning like this of some kind on your books. I meant to say, “It’s got my name on the cover—what more warning do you need?”
I mean, really…don’t you know by now what to expect of me?
You guys are talking about page 21 aren’t you? I know what to expect from you books Heidi. My Walmart is usually pretty good, and the super Walmart has a good selection. I will find out tomorrow. Usually the Sears Essentials, yep they have books, the supermarkets and pharmacies have new releases out too. I will find one, if not tomorrow, then this weekend. We totally have to meet face to face so I can get you to sign my books.
Peace and love,
Paula R.
I tried tonight, but will definitely get it this weekend.
Heidi,
Guess what I was able to order tonight??? SWEEEEETTT!!!! Not only did I order Knock Me but I also ordered Tangled. Had a borders coupon. Then figured what the heck I only needed to order two more books for free shipping. So i got a couple of other books I need for my library. Then I found out that if you buy 4 books you get a 5th book free. Who knows how to bargain shop??? LOL. Since the nearest Walmart is about 40 minutes away I think i spent less buying 5 books then driving to Walmart to get your book at a discount (if they even carried it!) And the nearest borders is about 65 miles away. So I got 5 books for 27 bucks! Yippee!! 2 of which are yours. The thing that is going to kill me is reading Tangled first. But I really want to know the whole Grace and Zack story from the beginning!
Thanks Paula for donating to the Danielle fund! It helped lol.
That’s the way to do it, Danielle! I, too, am a bargain shopper. Tried to order something for Xmas, but the s&h was all messed up, & by the time they got it straightened out, the price had gone up. Well, I walked. I’ll find it somewhere else at the price originally quoted, y’know? But, oh, am I a sucker for free s&h. If a site offers that, I’ll buy oodles more from them than I would somewhere else.
