And with only 2 days left till it’s release, too. This is so not good.
So I’ve got a favor to ask of everyone… If you were planning to pre-order or even simply order your copy of KNOCK online, PLEASE still do so. Simply use BN.com, Borders, Books a Million, or that sort of site instead. And if you were simply going to run out next week to pick up a copy in person, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE still do that!!!!
Now that Amazon is a no-go for us, it’s even more important to make up for those lost sales & show St. Martin’s, Amazon—everyone!—that you won’t let a little thing like a pricing dispute keep you from Zack & Grace.
And last but not least, if you could encourage all of your readers friends—thru your blogs, listservs, online meeting places, & old Ma Bell—to do the same, that would be terrific.

Now thats how I pictured Zack. I ordered my copy of Knock me for a Loop at Amazon. They shipped out my order today. I know I paid full retail for the book, but I don’t care it’s worth every penny. I do hope things smooth out soon.

I’m so sorry to hear about Amazon…I will be getting it when I go to spend my B&N giftcard from Christmas or on my next book shopping spree.
I’ll be there on release day, at my local B&N, please do believe. And I’ve written everyone involved and sent them some major shame on you for their petty dispute. I also made sure to remind them that they’re screwing the authors and the readers and especially…THE AUTHORS. Also, I let Amazon know I was going to purchase KNOCK and now they lost that sale. And that I’m a customer who purchased more than 100 books in the last ten months (that’s true!) I also wrote St. Martins Press and told them to work it out because they’re SCREWING THEIR AUTHORS over stupid pricing UGH.
I’m behind you 100% Heidi, and Knock is too good to go unnoticed. We’ll make this an awesome release, but mostly it will be awesome because of YOU because you’re awesome, your books are awesome..I could go on at length. And you certainly don’t deserve to have your release messed up by this. So crack open the champagne anyway and we’ll get to work!

Aw, you guys are great. I’m really not letting this upset me too much cuz there’s nothing I can do about it. Just hoping it gets cleared up soon. What I am trying to do is make sure folks know what’s going on & that there are other ways they can get the book ASAP. IOW, don’t just sit there waiting for Amazon to get its sh*t together…order from another site or run out to the mall one day this week!

I have a friend who saids he’s buying two copies of knock when it comes out and she’s asking her fellow RWA members to do the same. I will be buying it (one I’m afraid, but I’m broke!) On release day from B&N.
