Happy Sunday, everyone! And more, Happy First Sunday of the New Year! Welcome to 2010!
We’ve got a bit of catching up to do this week, since the Christmas festivities threw me off my game (not difficult to do, even without the hectic nature of the holidays
) & I missed announcing the winners of our December giveaways in a timely manner.
As you know, guest blogger Leanne Banks generously offered to give away three autographed copies of her January Silhouette Desire, FROM PLAYBOY TO PAPA! Copy #1 has already been awarded, but the other two have not.
And so, from Leanne’s second & third week visits…
TigMode & Beverly G.!!!
Congratulations, ladies! Please contact me with your names & mailing addresses, & I will forward the information to Leanne so she can send out your books.
We also have to offer a hearty congratulations to our own Darling Maisey, who gave birth to her third child—but her first baby girl—just before the New Year. (December 30th, if I’m not mistaken.)

(Sorry, I couldn’t resist the graphic. I’m pretty sure Maisey does know who the father is, but she’ll enjoy that all the same.)
In all seriousness, though, CONGRATULATIONS, MAISEY!!! We’re all very happy for you & hope you & little Baby Alani are doing well! She is adorable!
And since this wouldn’t be Super Sunday without all of the Darlings sharing the great things that are going on in their lives right now, feel free to jump in with your own good news. Tell us what Santa brought you for Christmas
or what your plans are for the New Year!

Congrats on your new baby girl, Maisey.
Congrats to the winners of the Leanne’s books.
I got a few gift cards, a set of cosmetic bags and some cute pajamas. Happy Sunday.
Maisey–she is beautiful. And I have seen a pic of the father–There is no way Maisey will ever share him and I can’t say that I blame her.
Contrats TigMode and Beverly G.!!!
Christmas was great. I actually got mine in October, which is my Apple laptop (and I LOVE), but got some nice clothes, gift cards to Best Buy that I used to get one of those nifty video camera’s that are the size of a small digital camera (like the Flip, but I got a Kodak one). Since my birthday was thrown in there too, some of that was for birthday.
Next weekend I’m heading to Covington, Ky for a huge gymnastics meet with the B’girl and we plan to make a weekend of it. Gonna hit the Aquarium and see the Freedom Bell and of course do some shopping.
Woooot! I won, I won! YAY!
Congrats to Maisey……what a wonderful way to start the new year.
Christmas and New Year’s were lovely, spent with my little nuclear family and the family of the heart I have acquired with my amazing friends. I got some media (Wolverine, Half Blood Prince, Season 5 Gilmore Girls dvds), a Borders GC which I spent all of in 5 minutes since Lara Adrian, Christine Feehan and Shayla Black all had things I needed to read ASAP. MIL sent me a gorgeous casserole dish and a couple cook books ( I collect them) and I got the standard candles, smelly bath stuff and pretty earrings from DH.
Spent NYE eating way too much here at the house with my 2 best girlfriends (my kids’ godmothers), sipping on adult beverages and howling with laughter.
Congrats to the winners of Leanne’s books. I am just a little jealous…a smidgen (sp?. I hope you enjoy it.
Maisey, your baby girl is beautiful. What a way to ring in the new year!
I have been doing a LOT of reading, which is how I spend most of my days off. I finally got up to do some cleaning, here and there. The kids come back to school tomorrow…so, not ready to go back to work. I still have so much I want to do before then. I got my very first music box, ever this Christmas. It plays “Amazing Grace,” a version I had never heard before. It is beautiful. I got some books that I had been looking for, but couldn’t find. One of my students gave me a snuggie…it is cute, but I really don’t know how much I am going to use it. That’s about it. Have a wonderful day today guys. It is snowing right now, and sometimes I forget how peaceful it is to just sit and watch the flakes fall.
Peace and love,
Paula R.
Congrats to the winners!! what a way to start the New Year!!

We bought my mom(she just turned 65) a bicycle for Christmas!! We had hidden it in her garage earlier in the week and she had no idea! What a surprise for her!!She was even riding it down her hallway of her trailer!LOL That to me was the best gift!!
New Years eve was spent at a buffet and then we went and seen Sherlock Holmes…OMG! it was so good!!

Have a great day!!
Happy Sunday!
Congrats to the book winners, and especially to Maisey! What a wonderful start to a new year.
My Christmas gift to my sister this year was months in the making. I took all our old home movies and had them transferred to DVD. Then, DH & I sat down and edited, edited, edited until we were happy with the finished product. When I gave my sister her copy, she took one look at the title and burst into tears. We laughed and cried and hugged each other as we watched the whole thing from beginning to end, especially the segments of our long-passed Nana, and our Dad, who died when we were both in high school. It was the best gift ever!
Sounds like you all had great holidays. I’m kinda jealous of some of the goodies you raked in from Santa, tho. I didn’t get nearly as good a haul. (My cats did, tho…man, did they make out like bandits.
)
Paula~ I got a Snuggie for Xmas, too! (Mine is leopard print, how about yours?) And after all the horrid jokes I made about them in the beginning.
I still maintain that a person could trip & kill themselves if they try to walk in the darn things, but so far mine had been great for keeping warm while writing in my easy chair. If you find you don’t use yours, send it my way—I’m thinking of doubling up since they’re not as thick as I’d like & my room is COLD.
Baby is too cute..I hope she is home.
Congrats to the winners!!! I can’t wait to dig in to Leanne’s story. I got give cards to Amazon….they are just about gone. I got a pair of cute boots, It was a great Christmas.
Heidi, mine is pink! I am so not much of a pink girl, but it was so sweet of my little boy, student, to give it to me. He is a darling. I envy you the leopard print. I agree with you on the doubling up; it just does not keep me warm at all, and mine is full of static. It did come with a book light though, so that is a plus. Oh, it wasn’t exactly what I thought it was going to be…thought it would be like a pull over…do you know what I mean? I think it would have been much better that way. Now that I own one, I still don’t see the appeal for snuggies for dogs…can you?
Peace and love,
Paula R.
my girly got a snuggy a while ago….she pulled it out of the box and put it on like a bathrobe!!LOLOL it was really funny the look on her face when we told her she had it on backwards!!
B’girl has 3. One with Bobby Jack the monkey, one pink with a harlequin pattern and the original pink one. She loves them. Thinking of breaking down and getting one for me. With the weather they are predicting here, I may need it.
Oh My! Is that David Tennent about to wrap my….uh…knuckles?!?!
Oh YES Professor David, I have been a very naughty pupil!
oh wow ty i love this blog
and congrats on the lil one shes adorable
Today is my birthday well for another 17minutes here in missouri lol for christmas i got these cute lil trinket boxes i collect them so that was pretty cool
Awww…I just checked for the first time in a couple days. Thanks so much, Heidi and everyone! Makes a hormonal lady wanna cry.
And you’re right on, Laura. I just can’t share the man. I need him for my own personal amusement 24/7, so it just doesn’t leave any time for sharing.
I’m posting this on the next post too, just to make sure you get my thanks!
Yeah, the Snuggies are very static-inducing, which is a definite negative when you’ve got kitties who like to sleep on your blanketed lap *without* getting shocked. :-( Cuz of that, I’ve got a towel near my chair now so that if one of them tries to get up while I’m wearing the Snuggie, I can quick throw down the towel & avoid either of us getting zapped.
Happy Birthday, Beverly! Whoo-hoo for you. Hope it was a great one! I’ve got a couple of those little trinket boxes, too; if they’re frogs, I can’t seem to resist.
Welcome back, Maisey! So what did you think of our funny little “new baby” graphic? I couldn’t resist…& I didn’t think you were the type to be easily offended.
Frankly, I’m still trying to track down the fathers of my children…somebody should be helping me with child support, given how much the little heathens eat.
Yeah, the fathers of your children need to be neutered. Moi? Easily offended? Not likely. Easily offensive? Yes. That. Definitely that.
