I am very excited this week to share a review I just received from Danielle of Coffee Time Romance & More for LOVES ME, LOVES ME KNOT. And I think it may possibly be the very best Jenna & Gage have gotten yet.
Brace yourselves—it’s really, really good.
When the handsome cop took a shine to Jenna Langan, an elementary schoolteacher with less than stellar looks according to her own self image, she fell for him hard and fast. After they got married and she became Mrs. Gage Marshall, everything in her life seemed perfect. Until it all fell apart.
Gage expected his marriage to Jenna to last a lifetime. But when he switched to vice and began to take some undercover work, he saw the uglier side of humanity, a side that he did not want his future kids raised in. One thing led to another and the next thing he knows, he is divorced from Jenna, childless, and more miserable than ever.
A year and a half has passed since Jenna and Gage’s divorce, but their issues are still unresolved. Over some much needed margaritas at one of the Girls Night Out drinking parties, Jenna and her two best friends come up with a plan to give her the child she has always wanted. Only problem is, once the deed is done, in a possibly illegal manner, Gage is none too happy to find out he may have been tricked into getting his ex-wife pregnant. Moving in with her until they find out if she is pregnant may not be the smartest thing, but when Gage and Jenna finally begin to talk it gives them the closure they need and they can finally move on…as long as they can keep their hands to themselves.
Ms. Betts writes a story in such a way that pulls the reader in and has them feel as if they are part of the script themselves. Loves Me, Loves Me Knot is a wonderfully funny and yet heartbreaking tale of what happens after the fact in a divorce between two people who should never have gone down that road in the first place. Pitting a six foot three alpha male cop against a five foot three school teacher may seem kind of unfair, but in my opinion he stood up fairly well and held his own, at least for the most part. The emotional highs and lows had the storyline coming off as very realistic and believable, and made getting to the heart of their problems all the more poignant. A remarkable novel that will have any book lover scrambling to find more stories from this incredibly talented author!
Rating: 5 Cups

(Note: 5 Cups is an Ultra Rare Extraordinary Read. Not many books will be rated a 5. It is a superior work!)
Whoo-hoo! Thank you so much Danielle & Coffee Time Romance! It’s wonderful when a reviewer really “gets” a story & loves the characters as much while reading about them as I do while writing about them.
And even though I know you can’t see it, I am currently smiling really, really big.
This has totally made my day.

Super huge congrats, Heidi!!! (This calls for the dancing chickie, I think!)

I love it where she says “Pitting a six foot three alpha male cop against a five foot three school teacher may seem kind of unfair, but in my opinion he stood up fairly well and held his own, at least for the most part.” LOVE IT!!!!!

Hey, everybody! Birthday is over (well, one day of the ongoing celebration, anyway
), baby is home, & I am slowly trying to catch up. Be patient, it may take me a while. But I will do a recap sometime next week of all the fun b’day & baby happenings, I swear.
Awesome and well deserved review Heidi!! So glad that you enjoyed you Birthday and that Little Mr. survived his snipping procedure!
Congrats on another rave review, Heidi.
I remember the snipping procedure well. From the scary vet tech checking out Kyan’s package to driving home with Kyan in the carrier the vet gave us and him peeing on my leg through the cardboard box.
Oh, Dee, how awful! All of our procedures have been fairly painless, but I did one time take a stray to a vet who worked with an animal rescue place & did neutering at a deep discount. Really reputable vet, but when I got there to pick him up, he was already in his carrier on a urine-soaked blanket. I just know that as soon as the surgery was over, instead of letting him recoup in a regular cage, they stuffed him in there & ignored him. I was so furious, I nearly went pitbull on them. And I swore I would NEVER do that to another animal again. I will pay full price to a vet of my choosing to be sure another animal is never treated that shabbily.
And to add to my guilt, we ended up keeping him. He’s the sweetest little boy EVER & did not deserve that.

Awwwww. They did keep Kyan overnight and the vet was wonderful. Sometimes though he hears us say the word vet and he literally gives my best friend and I the “mommies not again” look.
congrats on your review and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday! And I am glad you like the review.
Laura J….you caught the “cop versus teacher comment huh?” LOL. Some of my very dry and sarcastic sense of humor coming through.
