a few of my favorite things giveaway

PhotobucketThis week is my birthday week, so expect some fun stuff here in The Dungeon. We’re gonna party like it’s 1699. (You know, back when dungeons were uber-popular. )

And to kick things off, I am going to be holding a bit of a contest to give away A Few of My Favorite Things.

This is awesome—in my humble opinion, of course —& if someone doesn’t take these away from me soon, I’m going to change my mind & devour them all myself, I swear.

100_0367

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS consists of:

A black & green Tinkerbell tote (Okay, so there are a few Disney characters I like more than Tink, but who can resist her? She’s adorable & has access to unlimited quantities of pixie dust!)

A DVD of The Boyfriend School (Only the best romantic comedy/movie about a romance novelist EVAH!)

A copy of one of Delores Fossen’s Harlequin Intrigue titles, His Child (Partly because I adore everything Delores writes & partly because this is simply an example of my love of romance novels in general.)

A bottle of Smirnoff Ice, Green Apple flavor (Yuuuuuum.)

A tube of Bodycology’s sparkling grapefruit body cream (Ohmigod, I love grapefruit fragrances sooooo much.  And this stuff smells so good, I want to drown myself in it.)

A box of Green Jasmine tea (On account of I am obsessed with tea.  All tea.  Any tea.  When I die, if they give me a day or two to dry out, then open me up, I swear, tea leaves will come pouring out.)

A bag of Snyder’s of  Hanover’s Peanut Butter Pretzel Dips (Oh. My. God. Even if you don’t win this one, you will want to make it your life’s mission to find these things & try them. You will think you’ve died & gone to Heaven.)

And last but not least,

A pack of Extra Fruit Sensations Island Cooler gum (Cuz I’m all about the gum & all about fruity, tropical flavors.)

So there you have it—just about every single item I would kill or seriously maim for.  (And also my kitties, of course, but I’m afraid they would be kind of hard to mail. )

U.S. residents only, please, but to enter the drawing, all you have to do is let me know how old you think I am.  (Note:  Any guesses over 30 will not only be automatically disqualified, but the guesser will be drawn & quartered, then tied to the rack for a few more hours of creative torture.  You have been warned. )

Hmmmmm……I’m saying you’re about the enjoy your 25th birthday for the 15th time.

  2. Laura J. says:

You are exactly the age you say you are.

  3. Heidi says:

Okay, Dee & Laura get to live, but even tho I’m not very good at math, I can tell Grace is off by about 11 yrs. Shame on you, Grace. Shame, shame!

  4. Miranda says:

You must be 28 because I’m 28 and lovin’ it and you appear to be lovin’ it too!

  5. Mary Lynn says:

Well Heidi, since I would like to live to see 51 in March, I’ll guess that you will be 29 this week. Even if I’m wrong, look how long it worked for Jack Benny! I know you can’t be very old anyway – every cat who owns us subtracts a year from our age! Mine tell me that every day. Enjoy yourself.

  6. My favorite book of yours is still Cinnamon and Roses. That was the first one I read.http://www.heidibetts.com/wipsandchains/wp-includes/images/smilies/readingsmi.gif

  7. Sarra says:

After getting to know you this summer, I will guess that you are going to be 27. Or maybe 26. Hard to tell. Happy Birthday Heidi! I just hate that you’re younger than me and have all these amazing books to your name! *Jealous*

  8. Hollie says:

Im thinkin’ 29!old enough..but not too old!

  9. Laura J. says:

I used to have a note in my signature line for my emails that said Old enough to know better, young enough to do it again!

  10. Jane says:

I love birthday celebrations that go on for a week or month. Since you’re drinking Smirnoff Ice I’m assuming you’re over 21, so I’m going with 27.

  11. Heidi says:

I am so annoyed with IE today for not letting some of our usual Darlings chime in. But not to worry, I won’t pick or announce a winner till Sunday, anyway.

And whatever the heck is going on with the progress meters in the sidebar. I’ve been writing my fingers off today, but does anyone know that? Nooooo.

Bonus points to Miranda & Sarra for their nice, lowball guestimates, tho.

Mary Lynn~ Great to have you pop in!

You, too, Deborah…& thank you so much! That was soooo long ago, but I always think of C&R (& its gorgeous cover) fondly.

  12. Pamela Cayne says:

FINALLY! (Even though my Safari is being wonky, too!)

I’m going to guess 25, because I can see Heidi renting a sweet convertable to take her to Dwayne’s house for the weekend.

However, if you were to measure Heidi in wonderful years, she’d be 1,435,293.

  13. Dee says:

I am at the age where I don’t mind telling my real age, but still vain enough to be ecstatic when total strangers tell me I look 22.

  14. Cheryl S. says:

I’m going to guess 28 though you don’t look a day over 21. Hope you have a great birthday, Heidi!

  15. [...] we have a winner for the “A Few of My Favorite Things” birthday giveaway.  That would be this [...]

  16. Heather M. says:

Let’s see…just barely old enough to enjoy life’s perks, drinking, spanking (giving them of course) and knowing when to be a bad girl, so 27.
    Happy Birthday
