romance makes a move...
The big piece of news I picked up at the Retreat doesn't affect me so much as the entire romance genre.
I don't know how many of you have heard of Romance: B(u)y the Book, the website & blog hosted by NBC correspondent Michelle Buonfiglio. (Such a great lady, btw.) Anyway, Michelle was one of the guest speakers at last weekend's Retreat, & as always she did a terrific job. She kept us all riveted & in stitches...no easy task, believe me.

And while she was there, she made a big announcement that everyone is very excited about. (The announcement was made official on Monday, I believe, so it may no longer come as any great surprise, but I thought I would help to spread the word, anyway.)
Beginning in late June, Romance: B(u)y the Book & Romance: By the Blog will be found exclusively at LifetimeTV.com! This is a big move & a very big deal, as LifetimeTV.com currently gets something like forty million unique hits a day...or week or something like that. (Yeah, I was listening, but I didn't take notes. :-p) And that's with Lifetime's website being dedicated only to their current television programming.
But LifetimeTV.com is currently undergoing a massive overhaul & redesign, & when it re-launches in late June, it will have way more information on it than just current program. Lifetime's goal is to make LifetimeTV.com the premiere site for women's information on the web. And Romance: B(u)y the Book is going to be a large part of that.
