I'm done!
Yippee!
I finished CHRISTMAS IN HIS ROYAL BED this morning. Yes, it's only the rough draft--which ends up being pretty close to my final draft--& will need some polishing, but the hard part is always just finishing the book to begin with.
To decompress & celebrate, I sat down & watched Flightplan with Jodie Foster. I thought the beginning was a little slow, but the end was fabulous! Totally worth the price of admission. *g*
Then I also started watching The Brothers Grimm, & so far, so good.
Over the weekend, I went through a bit of a reading frenzy. I seemed to be near the end of all my books at the same time, so I managed to finish Motor Mouth by Janet Evanovich, the Mysteria anthology, & Mistral's Kiss by Laurell K. Hamilton.
All pretty good. Motor Mouth was not my favorite thing I've ever read by Janet Evanovich, but there was a scene near the very end that cracked me up. My favorite story in Mysteria was the one by Gena Showalter, & Laurell K. Hamilton's books are always compelling. I already can't wait for the next installment of her "Meredith Gentry" series.
And that's about it for me. Mostly, I'm just really, really excited to have another book finished & almosts ready to turn in. I really liked the last scene & am hoping it reads just as well the second time through (during the revision/polishing process) as it did while I was writing it. :-)
Currently watching The Brothers Grimm
Currently reading the Kick@ss anthology
