the book is in the mail
Well, you all know what today is--the five year anniversary of 9/11. The television coverage is too much, so I'm purposely watching non-news channels & pre-recorded stuff.I also just stuck FORTUNE'S FORBIDDEN WOMAN in the mail, then dropped an e-mail to my editor to let her know it's on the way. My editor is so sweet. Her reply was, "Thank you sooooo much!" Like she has to thank me for doing my job. :-) I should be thanking her for giving me a week past my official deadline to get it all polished & cleaned up.
As I said before, I think the story is good & holds together well, but she's the true & final judge. I'm always too close to the projects, so I wait with bated breath to hear what she thinks. Fingers crossed she likes this one.
Oh, & I just got Korean copies of WHEN THE LIGHTS GO DOWN. I've never gotten Korean ones before. They're kind of boring, as far as covers go...just a mint green background with some lighter flowers & leaves. Pretty, but nothing close to what I'm used to. No sexy clinch covers allowed over there, I guess. *g* I should send one of these to my uncle, who spent a year in Seoul when he was in the Army. Wonder if he could read any of it. :-)
