new artwork--finally!
It's taken me a while to find a version I could post here, but now that I did--here it is! The brand new cover for my November Silhouette Desire, BEDDED THEN WED.What do you think?
I have to admit, when I first saw it, I didn't like it very much. I'm a fan of sexy clinch covers, with the characters half-dressed & plastered to each other. *g* With this one, the hero & heroine are sort of separated--both physcially & emotionally, from the look of it.
But here's the kicker...the pose actually suits the story really well, right down to the expression on the heroine's face.
So like I said, as soon as I saw it, I was a little disappointed. But, being slightly obsessive-compulsive, I carried it around with me for a while, studying, mulling...trying to decide what I really thought. Until last night, I was still undecided.
And then my web designer e-mailed to let me know the updates to my site were done. I had to check them out, of course. The first thing I saw when the home page came up was that cover, & the first thing I thought was, "Oh, my gosh, I love that cover." I had to laugh when I realized what I'd said to myself, because up to then, I didn't think I liked it very much at all. Apparently, though, it's grown on me. :-)
But I really would like to know what you think. It's readers who see these things on bookstore shelves & often make a split-second decision of whether or not to buy, so tell me if this is one that would (or will) draw your attention.
