heeeeere's Darlene!

Just when I thought it was safe to accept Heidi's blogging invitation and come out to play...revisions of a book-to-be arrived. In true Drama Queen fashion, I panicked. Didn't matter that my editor deemed the changes "minor." They seemed major to me. Until last night, when I realized I was needlessly overreacting and the changes were minor after all. So here I am, ready to rock, rumble and blog on the site of a favorite author/friend.

As Heidi already told you, I write for Superromance and have a release on the shelves this month titled A TIME TO FORGIVE. It's as much about hate as it is love. Ten years before the story begins, the heroine's teenage brother murders the hero's teen brother. Now the murderer is due up for parole and emotions are running high. I've always been fascinated by the different ways people deal with tragedy. Some people forgive even the most heinous acts. Others live the rest of their lives with hate in their hearts. My book explores some of those issues. And, of course, the power of love.

Now...back to those revisions. As soon as I cart some teenage boys to the gym. And pick up my daughter from basketball camp. And stop at the store for some things we're running low on... Are you getting an idea of what my life is like?
