is it just me...
...or is the Sci-Fi Channel becoming a bit liberal in what they consider "science-fiction"?I just saw a commercial advertising episodes of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit that are going to be on the Sci-Fi Channel later this week.
Really? Are they serious? I know SVU can sometimes be kinky or weird, but I definitely wouldn't categorize it as "otherworldly."
And how about the fact that they've been playing the soap opera Passions every day? I just about fell off my chair when I noticed that. I mean exsqueezeme? Is that really the sort of thing we paranormal geeks are clamoring for? (In case you couldn't figure it out on your own, the answer is no.)
Shouldn't the Sci-Fi Channel stick to things that are actually sci-fi? Shows like Serenity, Kindred: The Embraced, Highlander, The X-Files...anything like that. They all qualify as being sci-fi enough for the Sci-Fi Channel. I would actually love to see them bring back some of those. They should tack on Space Rangers & the "new" Dark Shadows (with Adrian Paul--hubba hubba) while they're at it.
But Law & Order: SVU? Who are they trying to kid?
(P.S. Be sure to drop by again tomorrow...I feel a gripe about CSI: Miami coming on. :-P)
