Wimbledon (the movie, not the championship)
I watched Wimbledon (with Kirsten Dunst and Paul Bettany) last night while working on the dreaded taxes. I didn't think I would like it (tennis really isn't my thing & I hadn't heard much about the movie when it first came out) but it was on TV (Dish Network is giving us a free trial of the Encore Love channel), so I thought I'd give it a try.Well, let me tell you, this film is fabulous! It may just be my favorite new romantic comedy. This movie is so cute & romantic. And, yes, it takes place in the tennis (or rather, Wimbledon) world, but it's really about the romance. The hero is adorable...& who can resist those English accents? :-)
So if you get the chance to see this one, I highly, highly recommend it. I think I might even watch it again today. After all, I've still got more receipts to get thru. :-p
I also watched Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, but these books & movies do nothing for me. Her klutziness & idiotic decision-making just seem ridiculous to me. (With apologies to anyone who is a Bridget Jones fan. :-)) Then again, Renee Zellweger has never really done anything for me, so maybe that's part of the problem.

Oh! And this might come a little late for those of you who want to watch it, but I just discovered that Night Sins is on Lifetime. Right now--3pm to 7pm (EST). This is another great movie, albeit made-for-TV, & is based on Tami Hoag's book of the same title.
So I guess I know what I'm watching today. Good thing it's cold outside & I've got nowhere to go. :-D
