What did I tell you? A couple of hours after I whined about being stuck on my plot for Blackmailed into Bed, an idea popped into my head...just the way I knew it would. :-) I wasn't even thinking about the story at the time, but--boom!--there it was.That seems to be how all the best ideas come to me. If I'm actively concentrating on trying to come up with something, my brain gets stage fright & clams up. But if I go on with my life & get busy doing something routine, my brain relaxes & starts working again.
And this new idea is just about perfect, if I do say so myself. It solves my "too short" problem, as well as giving me a way to introduce the heroine's sister, whom I'd like make the heroine of the next book, if at all possible. Yay!
Now I just have to incorporate the new stuff into my synopsis, but that shouldn't be too hard. I'm betting I'll have it done before I go to bed tonight. Maybe even before NCIS comes on. :-)
