fun phone call
Got a call from my editor this morning that turned out to be really fun & exciting.First, she told me she'd read BEDDED THEN WED, which I just turned in, & "really, really enjoyed it." She said it had good pacing, that the story held together really well, & she thinks it might be one of my best yet. Yay! I would have been happy just knowing she liked the story, but I was tickled pink to hear the rest.
Then we discussed some plans for the future, which included a tentative scheduling for the next book (the one I've been calling Blackmailed into Bed) in early 2007...an invitation to do one of the books in an upcoming Dynasties continuity...another stand-alone for later in 2007...and a trilogy/miniseries to be released three months in a row sometime in 2008.
Oh, boy. That sounds like an awful lot of work to me. LOL Especially that "three months in a row" thing. But I'm not going to worry about it now. I'm sure we'll be able to map out a do-able schedule, & I'm excited to know I'll be able to do that many more Desires over the next couple years.
My editor also mentioned that (she thinks, at least) I got a great cover for my May Desire, MR. AND MISTRESS. So now I'll be on pins & needles until I can get a glimpse of it myself. :-D I can't wait!
