my first review for SEVEN-YEAR SEDUCTION
The new issue of Romantic Times arrived in the mail today & I quickly flipped to the "Series Romance Reviews" section. I knew SEVEN-YEAR SEDUCTION would be reviewed this time, I just didn't know what kind of review it would receive. Talk about nerves. Altho, to be honest, I've learned to take these things with a grain of salt. It's only one person's opinion, after all, right? And they're very subjective. Sometimes a reviewer loves your work, sometimes they don't; you can't let it impact your writing or your life.Anyway, SEVEN-YEAR SEDUCTION happened to receive a fabulous review from RT this time. 4 1/2 stars! Yippee! And the write-up is great, too. It reads:
"Beth has been in love with her brother's best friend since she was a child, but Connor always kept his distance--until one night on the way home from a high school football game. That night snapped their friendship and drove Beth away--until a storm strands her back home after her brother's wedding. Stuck in the same house waiting out the storm and planning a nursery for the newlyweds, Beth and Connor realize their feelings never died in Heidi Betts's exceptionally touching Seven-Year Seduction (4 1/2). This poignant tale is a keeper."
"Exceptionally touching" & "a keeper." Yay! It doesn't get much better than that. Everyone join me as I do the Snoopy Dance.
If it were January already, I'd say this is a pretty terrific way to kick off the New Year. But, hey, it's a pretty terrific way to end one, too. :-D
