Christmas is over...can we get back to our lives now?
Yes, Christmas is over, & I don't mind saying I'll be glad to get back to my old routine...if I can, in fact, find my old routine again. It may have disappeared forever. :-p But I had a nice holiday, & hope all of you did, too.One thing I quite enjoyed was giving my mother a gift certificate for a nice, long massage, which I just knew she would love. She did, & she was also shocked when she saw it. (I just love giving gifts that come as a complete surprise to people, don't you? :-D) And even tho I already had a couple of things for my brother, at the last minute I discovered that the Serenity DVD was actually on his Wish List, so I...gulp...wrapped my very own copy to give him. Oh, lord, was that painful. It had just arrived & I'd so been looking forward to it, but I did the selfless, most Christmas-spirited thing & was willing to give it away. (With plans to race to town first thing on the 26th to grab myself a new copy!) Happily, I can say that I am still in possession of my Serenity DVD because it turned out my brother's girlfriend had already gotten him a copy. Whew!
I got some neat stuff, too. The Magnificent Seven & Serenity on DVD...but then, I bought those for myself. :-) Then there were about 12 pairs of Pooh & Friends slipper socks. I adore Pooh, of course, & wear the things all the time, which means I go thru them pretty quickly. I also got a set of Pooh mugs & a gift card that came with a stuffed reindeer that sings "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer." Too cute. I love him. And if I punch that button too many more times, I'm going to wear out the battery before New Year's.
The best part of the holiday, as always, was just having the family together. We played some games, watched a few movies, shared a delicious dinner, & ate cookies till we puked. :-)
And now, I'm off to watch Serenity. Then my Christmas will be complete. :-D
