this may be more tv than I can handle
The Dish guy was supposed to be here between 12:30-5pm, & showed up a little after 2pm. Just as I was sitting down to eat lunch, of course. I knew that would happen...which is kind of why I went ahead & fixed something. It took him a couple hours to get everything hooked up & running, not to mention explain how the system works, but now I officially have Dish Network. Digital cable. How excited am I?I have to admit, tho, that this may be more television &/or technology than I can handle. I mean, there's recording without tapes...an on-screen viewing guide...TV1 & TV2...watch here but record there...pause live TV...180 channels (for the first month, anyway). It's too much. I'm in overload. Danger! Danger, Will Robinson! It is going to take me months to figure out what the heck is going on.
And, of course, I got no writing done today. Because first I was waiting for the satellite guy to come. Then because I was showing him around & helping whenever he needed something. And now because I'm fiddling with the system to learn how everything works. :-P There's still tonight, tho, if I can tear myself away from this nifty remote control long enough to focus on my story.
All right, gotta go. Can't sit here typing when I have 180+ channels to watch. Most of which I've never had the chance to experience before.
I may never leave the house again. :-P
