put ms. in mail--check...order Dish Network--check...
Yesterday turned out pretty well, even after getting off to a bumpy start, & I've been crossing things off my To Do list left & right.
Got the manuscript I was working on polished & printed, & the whole bundle mailed--boy, the box was heavy when I got done, too. :-) But it feels so good to have those finished & out of the way. Now I can focus on getting ready for tomorrow's booksigning...a booksellers' luncheon I'm attending next weekend...& most importantly, my next Desire.
Also yesterday, I bit the bullet--oh, yeah, it was such a hardship LOL--& signed up for Dish Network. I called the 800 number one more time with another list of questions, & before we were finished, I knew I was going to give them a credit card number & tell them to come out & get the system set up ASAP. Well, next Thursday, I think they're coming. But that's okay; it's nice to know a better viewing experience is on the horizon. I just hope I don't end up regretting the decision.
But I am looking forward to it. No more gnarled video tapes or malfunctioning VCRs...well, hopefully not. I'm not getting rid of all my old equipment, of course, but I'm hoping I won't need to use them nearly as often as before. And no more scratchy channels because there's a thunderstorm in Johnstown or a snow storm in Pittsburgh. :-P
I'm still working on reading Ceremony in Death by J.D. Robb, Like a Knife by Annie Solomon, & that darn Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix...lord, that book is just taking me forever to get thru. And on the treadmill, I started Private Indiscretions by Susan Crosby. Very good, so far--but then, her books are always good. :-)
