it's snowing!
I can't believe it, it's actually snowing. Yes, I live in PA & I know we get some harsh winters, but who expected snow this early in the season? Usually, it doesn't begin to snow until closer to my birthday, which is still a good two weeks away. In fact, we don't usually get a significant snow fall until Christmas. That's what we're known for...only the occasional light dusting of snow right up thru the end of December, then we get just enough on Christmas Eve to say we're having a white Christmas.
But when I woke up this morning, it was raining, & as I watched, the rain slowly turned into flakes of snow. Now it's really coming down, as well as lying on the ground--another oddity for this early in the year.
Wow, it's really pretty, but I sure hope this doesn't mean we're in for a rough winter. I already expect it to be cold, but I was kind of hoping for a light snowfall. (The more snow we get, the more shoveling I have to do. Ick!)
In other news, I stayed up late last night to work on THE SECOND MRS. RAMSEY. With everything else that's been going on, I've been away from it for a while, so it took some time to refresh my memory & get back into the story. But I managed, & now I remember why I thought I would like this book so much. :-)
