hiding from the trick-or-treaters
Happy Halloween, everyone!I'm back from Bethesda. A little tired & trying to catch up on all the stuff I put off before leaving.
But today was "hiding from trick-or-treaters day." It's not that I don't like Halloween (actually, I love it!) or that I don't enjoy seeing the kids in their costumes, but I don't know any of the children in the neighborhood anymore, & I swear they come in by the busload from other towns. It's not nearly as fun as it used to be, when you'd try to guess who the kids were, & when they took their masks off, you actually recognized them. Plus, all the noise, knocking, & opening & closing the door sends the cats into fits. So it's just easier to take off for a few hours, until all the hubbub dies down.
Tonight, I went to Red Lobster for dinner (yum!) & stopped at the mall for a bit, hitting the bookstore, Ross, Goodwill, etc. (Fun, fun.) And now, as I said, I'm trying to catch up.
Tomorrow, I'll fill you in on the WRW Booksellers' Luncheon. And later in the week, I'll post another "Question of the Week," as well as some market news about none other than my favorite Silhouette romance line--Desire.
G'night! Don't let the vampires bite. (Unless they're, you know--tall, dark, sexy... :-D)
