weekend veg report
So much for getting a lot done this weekend. I meant to, planned to, intended to. Instead, I mostly vegged.
See, this is what happened... On Friday, there was a MONK marathon on USA Network. I love that show, & regardless of the fact that I've seen them all before--likely multiple times--I had to watch. Then Saturday, I ended up watching a bunch of episodes from the Season One DVDs of THE PRETENDER. Another favorite; I have a complete crush on Jarod. And Sunday...how could they do this to me?!?...another MONK marathon. Different episodes than on Friday. What could I do but sit & watch?
But even with all the boob-tubing, it's not like I did nothing all weekend. I did actually work on a new synopsis & start my workshop speech for the upcoming STAR (Southern Tier Authors of Romance) conference in Ithaca, NY. That would be the one at which I'm giving--for the first time--my workshop on "Writing Category: Breaking In & Staying In." To say I'm nervous would be a phenomenal understatement. Luckily, my notes look good so far, & the speech part came together pretty well. I just hope this is information people are actually going to find interesting & useful. Either way, I've only got two more weeks to fret about it!
