Day 3

Thursday night was dinner with my editor & several other authors...Maureen Child, Kelsey Roberts, Cherry Adair, Leanne Banks, & Amy Fetzer. It was also my first time eating Mexican. (Yes, I know, I lead a very sheltered life.) But the food was good & the company was better. I had a blast! It was also kind of exciting to hear my editor bragging up one of my upcoming Desires. This would be the proposal I just sold, THE SECOND MRS. RAMSEY. She called it "scandalous." Ooh, I'm so glad she thinks so. And I absolutely loved the watermelon margarita I ordered with dinner. Mmm.

After dinner, we all attended the National Readers' Choice Awards. None of my immediate friends or acquaintances won, which was kind of disappointing, but the ceremony itself was still fun. The actual awards were great, too...I'm starting to think I'd really like one of those for my mantel. (I don't actually have a mantle, but I'd be sorely tempted to build one just to have somewhere to display my NRCA. :-))

And after that, a friend & I dropped in on the eHarlequin Pajama Party that took place in the Harlequin Suite. It was crowded, cramped, & loud, so we didn't stay long, but it was fun to run into some friends & pick up a few goodies from the movie theatre-style snack bar Harlequin had set up.

By that time, it was late, so I was off to bed again. :-)
